The school is not required to pay any fee because the TM Foundation will help the school instead the school is expected to provide the time and place so that the course can be held.
Can I learn TM from a book or video?
Imagine trying to learn golf swings naturally or playing the violin. You know how important it is for a good teacher to show you the right technique.
TM techniques are easy to learn but require personalized, interactive guidance. For this reason, TM is only taught through one-on-one instruction by certified TM teachers.
There is no other way to learn authentic TM techniques — and there is no evidence that other ways provide the various benefits documented in published studies on TM techniques.
What happens during TM?
The TM technique allows your mind to calm down inward easily, through a calmer level of thinking, until you experience your own most desolate and peaceful level of consciousness—pure consciousness.
What if I'm not good at controlling my mind?
It doesn't matter at all. You are a candidate for the perfect meditation practitioner. Unlike other forms of meditation, TM practice does not involve concentration, no mind control, no contemplation, or no mind monitoring. It's really easy.
What if I'm skeptical?
The effectiveness of the TM technique remains the same whether you are sure that it will work or you are completely skeptical. That's because automatically and easily TM allows your active level of thinking to calm down leading to a state of deep inner calm.
Is this a religion or a religious tradition?
Transcendental Meditation techniques are neither a religion nor a philosophy, nor do they interfere with lifestyle, diet, or beliefs. Many people find that when there is less mental and emotional stress, they can live their religious teachings better.
How do I learn it?
To learn Transcendental Meditation techniques, sign up for a TM course class with a certified TM teacher.
The TM course consists of four sessions. The first session is your instruction one by one with the TM teacher, and the next three sessions are small group sessions (either in person or virtually if needed).
